Sydney Grace Allie Matte Shadow ($5.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark, mustard yellow with stronger, warm undertones than you’d see in a true mustard shade–almost like mustard and brown mixed together. The texture was soft, a little dusty in the pan, but it applied evenly and blended out easily without sheering out too readily. It had opaque pigmentation that stayed on well for eight hours on me.

Sydney Grace Alpha Matte Shadow ($5.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a deep taupe-brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. There were nearly imperceptible shimmers strewn throughout the eyeshadow but I couldn’t notice it on my eye. It had opaque color coverage that adhered well to bare skin but took more effort to diffuse along the edges for a seamless blend. The consistency was slightly firmer, a bit stiffer in the pan, and it was easiest to use with a lighter hand to build up coverage as I went. I noticed slight fading along the edges after eight hours of wear.
